| A fascinating graphics exhibition is now in place at Verdant Works. Publishers DC Thomson and Co Ltd in collaboration with Dundee Heritage Trust have produced this new exhibition which highlights the important aspects of Dundee's history, helped along by members of one of Scotland's most famous families, 'The Broons'. The exhibition focuses on the city's economic and industrial history and covers medieval Dundee, transport, shipbuilding, whaling, famous people, jute, jam, journalism and Dundee today. There is also a section on the history of The Broons for those not familiar with the residents of No. 10 Glebe Street. |

| A stunning exhibition of the Wildlife of the Sub Antarctic island of South Georgia is currently on at Verdant Works Exhibition Gallery. This exhibition is a joint venture between Katherine Snell and the South Georgia Heritage Trust who promote for the public benefit, the conservation and protection of the physical and natural environment and surrounding waters of South Georgia - and advance the education of the public in the island's historical heritage. Katherine Snell, a Scottish Wildlife photographer and polar biologist, felt extremely privileged when she sailed to South Georgia to study and photograph it's wildlife. South Georgia is extremely mountains and over half of the island is glaciated. However it is a haven to extraordinary wildlife; beaches crowded with breeding seals and penguins, and great albatrosses cruising the skies above. Katherine was amazed and humbled by the spectacular scenery and abundance of wildlife and this exhibition depicts the beauty of South Georgia. |
