PKAVS is delighted to be recruiting for a new and innovative project supporting Minority Ethnic communities in Perth & Kinross.  If you have an interest in implementing Equality & Diversity practices within
Perth & Kinross and have strategic vision and knowledge of issues specifically affecting Migrant Workers & Minority Ethnic Communities then you may be interested in becoming part of this project which is funded by The National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund.  With a focus on supporting carers and individuals affected by disability, long-term health conditions or older age the project aims to give the expanding migrant population in Perth & Kinross the support to play a full and active role in their community while helping statutory and voluntary service providers to respond more effectively to their needs.

Race Relation Regulation Act 2003 will apply to this post

You will provide multi-lingual and culturally sensitive information and advice to migrant workers and Minority Ethnic Communities in Perth and Kinross to enable increased access to mainstream statutory and voluntary services and to raise awareness of issues facing communities such as Chinese, South-Asian or Eastern European amongst Community Planning Partners, particularly in relation to accessing services.
There are three posts, one for each target community. You must be able to speak one of the following languages:
